Greetings! Welcome to the Division of Teacher Education. Thank you for choosing us to further your education. The Division of Teacher Education at the CFBC is an excellent place to pursue teacher training. We can assure you that your success matters to us and we are committed to making quality education accessible, convenient and affordable to you.

Hence, the training that you will receive during your two years with us will enable you to rise above the ordinary to become reflective practitioners and, imminently, the Ideal Caribbean Teacher.

The Division of Teacher Education is committed to producing a cadre of professionals through the delivery of quality teacher education in St. Kitts and Nevis at the Associate Degree and Post Graduate Degree levels and beyond. This is done through the execution and delivery of courses geared towards the understanding of the theoretical and practical methods required to enrich and expand the knowledge base of practitioners through the teaching and learning process across a broad educational spectrum; consequently, enabling teachers to model best practices and learn the art of engaging all students through differentiation and diversified methods of teaching and learning. The Division also fosters the culture of reflective practice, action research and inquiry while seeking to prepare outstanding educators who will actively participate in school improvement, by applying skills that are necessary to facilitate school reform and, at the same time, fostering collaboration and cooperation among multiple stakeholders.

I, therefore, encourage you to avail yourself of the wealth and breadth of information with which you will be inundated. Access all of our services, seek professional guidance from staff and strive to achieve success at all times. Our goals and objectives will be realized through your successes.

To our returning students, thank you for continuing your education with us. To our new students we welcome you warmly and thank you for entrusting us with the task of preparing you for teacher certification. I applaud you for choosing our institution for this is where success begins. It is our goal to make your college experience a very fulfilling and successful one.
