Welcome to the Division of Arts, Science & General Studies!
The Division of Arts Science and General Studies (ASGS) prepares students for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE), which are administered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC). ASGS is a stepping-stone to further studies at university undergraduate level and employment. Graduates from this Division have excelled in institutions of higher learning, in the workplace and in positions of leadership, locally, regionally, and internationally.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled lectures and tutorials and to participate in all learning activities. Students are expected to work diligently throughout the academic year to complete all of their assessments and to submit assessments on time. Additionally, students are expected to, at all times, be very respectful to their peers, lecturers, members of staff and anyone that they interact with while at CFBC.
In the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, the lecturers are committed to assisting students in understanding the course material and developing their analytical and social skills. The lecturers also foster a learning environment that promotes skills of independence, enhances students’ curiosity to learn more on the subject matter and equips students with intercultural understanding and respect that is necessary to function effectively in today’s’ world.
Hope to see you in ASGS!
