Welcome to the Division of Technical Vocational Education & Management Studies!
I am delighted to welcome you to the CFBC Division of Technical Vocational Education and Management Studies. Through these pages, we hope to share with you some of the latest division news and events, and the exciting programs offered by our Division.
There are many exciting and fulfilling initiatives taking place in our Division, as we are always striving to achieve and maintain excellence in our mission to offer Technical Vocational Education and Management Studies and Services to our Community. Investment projects such as the TVET Enhancement Project funded by Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the Ministry of Education, (MOE) and Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Network of Excellence for Tourism and Hospitality Training and Education (NETHE) project will continue to transform our Division, allowing us to increase course offering and significantly improve our capacity to deliver and reach wider regional audiences.
The Division has five departments, namely, Department Architectural Design Technology and Timber Vocation, Department of Culinary and Hospitality Studies, Department of Agricultural Studies, Department of General Engineering (RAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electrical and Electronics and Motor Vehicle Technology), and Department of Information Technology and Office Administration and Management Studies. We provide education and training at the Associate Degree, Diploma and Certificate levels in 11 different specialties. I can say with complete confidence that what makes our Division exceptional are our faculty and staff who are dedicated to helping our aspiring students become passionate, highly skilled practitioners in their various fields.
Our students also enjoy opportunities such as the student exchange with Nova Scotia College for Information Technology and Hospitality and Culinary students. Information Technology students are involved in the exciting Drone Development and Robotics Capstone Projects as part of our IT program. The Core Curriculum brings Technical Training, Research and Entrepreneurship together.
There are amazing opportunities in store in this division, from intense Capstone Projects to community engagement, and intensive internships at various business entities in St. Kitts and Nevis.
Welcome to CFBC – TVEMS where Technical training excellence is the only option!
Sincerely
Dean Terry Hanley – Division Technical Vocational Education and Management Studies
