Web Master
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Webmaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of our organization’s online presence. The Webmaster will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across our websites, managing content, and implementing web best practices.
Qualifications:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
⦁ 3 years proven experience as a Webmaster or in a similar role.
⦁ Proficiency in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
⦁ Photography and digital media experience
⦁ Content creation, blogging or other writing experience a plus.
⦁ Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
⦁ Ability to create and maintain high-traffic websites.
⦁ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
⦁ Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and user experience.
⦁ Strong organizational and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
⦁ Design, develop, and maintain the organization’s websites, social media, intranets, and portals ensuring a user-friendly experience.
⦁ Implement and update website content, graphics, and multimedia elements.
⦁ Regularly perform website updates and enhancements.
⦁ Develop posters, flyers, and other internal print and web media, in promotion of internal university events.
⦁ Take and edit photos of campus events for the website and social media.
⦁ write blog posts, reviews, and articles as required
Create, edit, and update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
⦁ Collaborate with content creators to optimize content for web delivery.
⦁ Manage content schedules and coordinate updates with various stakeholders.
Implement and optimize SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
⦁ Monitor website analytics to identify trends, user behavior, and areas for improvement.
⦁ Provide insights and recommendations based on analytical data.
⦁ Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring optimal site performance.
⦁ Collaborate with IT and external vendors to address technical challenges.
⦁ Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
⦁ Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard websites and user data.
⦁ Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards.
⦁ Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to enhance the overall user experience.
⦁ Implement improvements based on user feedback and industry trends.
