System/Network Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System/Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our company’s information systems and networks. The System/Network Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of all hardware, software, and communication links within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be considered an asset.
⦁ 2 years’ proven experience as a System/Network Administrator or in a similar role.
⦁ Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent
⦁ Other Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
⦁ Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security best practices.
⦁ Proficiency in system administration tasks on various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
⦁ Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
⦁ Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
⦁ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
⦁ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Main Responsibilities:
⦁ Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
⦁ Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless connectivity.
⦁ Implement security measures to protect the network infrastructure.
⦁ Administer and support servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
⦁ Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
⦁ Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
⦁ Implement and manage security measures to safeguard information systems and data.
⦁ Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
⦁ Respond to and mitigate security incidents.
⦁ Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
⦁ Test and document disaster recovery procedures.
⦁ Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
⦁ Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex technical issues.
⦁ Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and system configurations.
⦁ Create and update procedural documentation for IT processes.
